Hermitage of San Jorge de Madrigueras

The hermitage of San Jorge, in Madrigueras (La Manchuela, Albacete), is in Renaissance style, from the 16th century and heavily restored. It stands on the cerro de San Jorge, at an altitude of 715 metres, compared with the 687 metres of the town centre; the hill, which contains a recreational area, is a leisure spot for those who make their way up to the hermitage.
