San Isidro in Casas de Juan Núñez

The feast of San Isidro is the main festivity of Casas de Juan Núñez, in the region of La Manchuela (Albacete), and is celebrated on 15 May. The image of the saint comes down from the hermitage, located two kilometres from the village, on the afternoon of the Sunday before the festivities, giving way to a day in the countryside, and returns to the hermitage in a pilgrimage the following weekend, bringing the celebrations to a close.
