Hermitage of el Cristo de las Eras

The hermitage of the Cristo de las Eras is a Baroque church from the late 17th century located in Carcelén (Albacete), in the region of La Manchuela. It has a Latin cross floor plan and holds, in its chancel, an 18th-century altarpiece together with the image of the Cristo de las Eras, carved in the 17th century. Every 23 August, during the feast of Los Montones, the image is carried in procession from the hermitage to the church of San Andrés, where it remains until the celebrations end.
