A parish church declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection) in 2013, at the heart of the historic ensemble of San Miguel de Abona's town centre, which preserves architecture from the 18th to the 20th century, including the building known as El Calvario and the Casa del Capitán.
