The main parish church of the Villa de Arico, built next to an earlier 1603 hermitage. In Arico el Nuevo stands the church of Nuestra Señora de la Luz, which houses a 16th-century Gothic carving of the Virgin, and in El Río the hermitage of San Bartolomé preserves 17th-century religious imagery.
