Fishing settlement of Agaete with natural pools carved into the lava and the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's top heritage-protection category). It is the departure point for the ferry linking Gran Canaria with Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
