Basílica de Nuestra Señora del Pino

Church built between 1760 and 1767 on the site of the traditional apparition of the Virgen del Pino in 1481, patron saint of the diocese of the Canaries since 1914. It was raised to minor basilica by the Holy See on 12 January 1916, the first in the Canary Islands, and holds heritage protection as a Bien de Interés Cultural (sources give different years, between 1976 and 1978, for the declaration decree).
