Lucena de Jalón honours San Antonio on 13 June and the Virgen del Rosario on 6 October. Its castle passed in 1206 to the Knights Hospitaller, and in 1348 Pedro IV granted it to Fernando Gómez de Albornoz; the village's current name was adopted in the 1916 municipal reform.
