Situated on the La Muela plateau, in the comarca of Valdejalón, the municipal area is home to several wind farms which, from 1990 onwards, drove notable economic and social development in the town. It is one of the largest wind power complexes in Aragon, with numerous wind turbines spread across the plateau.
