The historic centre of La Almunia de Doña Godina preserves the church of the Asunción, begun in 1754 with a 14th-16th-century Mudéjar tower reused from an earlier temple; the complex of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem (church, hospital and palace) dates from the early 18th century, and on calle Ortubia stand noble houses such as the palacio de los Estages and the 16th-century palacio de Colmenares, with galleries of small arches and carved wooden eaves.
