The expulsion that emptied Almonacid

The decree of expulsion of the Moriscos struck Almonacid full on: between 1610 and 1611 more than one thousand two hundred households left and the place went from three hundred inhabited houses to fifty. The repopulation with Old Christians was not completed until 1628.
