Wine cellars of Almonacid de la Sierra Monument · Almonacid de la Sierra, Valdejalón, Zaragoza Image of Almonacid de la Sierra, not of the place itself. Traditional wine cellars of Almonacid de la Sierra, on the Cariñena-Valdejalón wine route, among which several centuries-old cellars carved into the rock stand out, with a wooden door and a "caño", a passage descending to the underground cellar. Those catalogued include Bodega Morales, with underground and street-level sections, and Bodega Cerdán, rectangular in plan with wooden beams, awarded a prize at the 1889 Paris Universal Exposition. The cellars produce wine protected by the Cariñena Denominación de Origen, with twelve registered cellars in 2013. Photo: Xufanc (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Almonacid de la Sierra
