Los Fayos, wedged beneath a rocky bluff at the confluence of the Val and Queiles rivers, saw the completion in 1996 of the Val reservoir, with a dam 96 metres high. It preserves the church of Santa María Magdalena, from the late 16th century, and the palace of the dukes of Villahermosa, from the 17th century.
