Trail of los palacios ducales de Pedrola Curiosity · Pedrola, Ribera Alta del Ebro, Zaragoza Image of Pedrola, not of the place itself. A route through the ducal heritage of the Villahermosa family in Pedrola, with historic gardens. Its centrepiece is the Ducal Palace of Villahermosa, built in the Aragonese Mudéjar style in brick in the early 16th century, and embellished by Martín de Gurrea y Aragón, fourth Duke of Villahermosa. It preserves a notable art collection with works by Goya, Tiepolo, Bayeu and Sorolla, Renaissance coffered ceilings, Sèvres porcelain and Gobelins tapestries, as well as a library and ballroom. A passageway connects it directly to the church of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, commissioned in the 16th century by Luisa de Borja y Aragón to allow access to it from her residence.
