La Joyosa, made up of the villages of La Joyosa and Marlofa, was called Pinillo in the Middle Ages and belonged to the monastery of Veruela before passing to a lay lordship in the 15th century; it retains the baron's palace and the church of Nuestra Señora del Puig.
