The tower of the church of la Asunción de Nuestra Señora of Villamayor de Gállego, in the Aragonese Mudéjar tradition, rises in the Plaza del Planillo, behind the town hall, and is declared a bien de interés cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection). Nearby is the hermitage of the Virgen del Pueyo, also a sanctuary of Mudéjar origin, dating from the 15th century.
