Paleontological trilobite site of Murero Nature · Murero, Campo de Daroca, Zaragoza Image of Murero, not of the place itself. The palaeontological trilobite site of Murero, located in the stratigraphic sequence of the Rambla de Valdemiedes, preserves fossils from the lower and middle Cambrian and is considered the most important trilobite site in Spain and one of the most significant of the Cambrian worldwide. The species Acadoparadoxides mureroensis was first described here in 1958, and four other taxa were given scientific names in tribute to the site. Research at the site is currently led by Eladio Liñán, professor of Palaeontology at the University of Zaragoza. Photo: PePeEfe (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Murero
