Mudéjar Tower of Longares Monument · Longares, Campo de Cariñena, Zaragoza Image of Longares, not of the place itself. Tower attached to the foot of the church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Longares (Campo de Cariñena, Zaragoza), raised in the late 14th century, before the temple to which it is joined, built between 1526 and 1664. Square in plan, it is arranged in six superimposed rooms and shows three tiers topped by a terrace; the Mudéjar decoration, whose silhouette recalls a minaret and which is a symbol of Longares, is concentrated on the bell-tower section, with raised brickwork motifs combined with ceramic pieces. It is generally well preserved. Photo: Zarateman (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Longares
