Church of Mazaleón Monument · Mazaleón, Matarraña, Teruel Church of Santa María la Mayor de Mazaleón, in the Doric order, in the town whose name comes from the Arabic manzil al-ayun, inn of the springs. Built upon a rock, Madoz's dictionary described it in the mid-19th century as a fairly solid and spacious church, with a tower fitted with a clock and two very regular bells. At that time it served as the parish church, attended by a parish priest and five beneficiaries (assistant clergy). Photo: José Antonio Bielsa Arbiol (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Mazaleón
