Winter black truffle

The kermes oak woods and the plantations of mycorrhized holm oak in the surroundings produce black truffle, which is gathered between December and March. The province holds a protected geographical indication for the Black Truffle of Teruel and the fungus has been taken up on the comarca's menus.
