Hermitage of Mirambel

Hermitage in the municipality of Mirambel, declared a Monumento Histórico-Artístico (Spain's heritage designation in force between 1931 and 1985) in 1980 and awarded the following year the Gold Medal of Europa Nostra for its restoration. The Order of the Temple granted it a founding charter in 1243, and in 1994 Ken Loach filmed part of Land and Freedom there.
