Settlement charter of Mirambel

Historical milestone · Mirambel, Maestrazgo, Teruel

Image of Mirambel, not of the place itself.

In 1243 the Order of the Temple granted a charter of settlement to Mirambel to secure the settlement of this sector of the frontier. The walled layout and the gateways preserved today come from that medieval organisation.
