Church of Blancas Monument · Blancas, Jiloca, Teruel The church of San Pedro Apóstol in Blancas, in the Jiloca comarca (Teruel), stands on the ruins of an old castle believed to have belonged to the Templars. It is a complex building, the result of successive alterations starting from a single nave with a semicircular apse of Romanesque date, an original core that was raised in height and to which side chapels and two bays at the foot, where a raised choir was built, were added. On the outside only the neoclassical doorway stands out, opened in a round arch and flanked by fluted pilasters supporting an entablature topped by a curved pediment with a small niche. On the Gospel side a solid two-tier tower is attached, and the interior, entirely plastered, shows a great variety of vaults. Photo: Secretaria (CC BY 3.0 es) What to see and do in Blancas
