Historic Ensemble of Rubielos de Mora Monument · Rubielos de Mora, Gúdar-Javalambre, Teruel Image of Rubielos de Mora, not of the place itself. The historic ensemble of Rubielos de Mora (Gúdar-Javalambre, Teruel) was declared a Conjunto Histórico-Artístico (Spain's historic-artistic heritage designation) in 1980 and received the Europa Nostra award in 1983 for its very well preserved old town. It retains two gates of the old wall: the Portal de San Antonio, with one of the most beautiful towers and gates in Aragon, and the Portal del Carmen, with a Baroque chapel dedicated to the Virgen del Carmen. Among its stately architecture stand out the Casa de los Condes de Florida, with a three-storey ashlar façade, Baroque doorways and a gallery of twelve arches, and the Palacio de los Marqueses de Villasegura, one of the largest buildings in the old town, in the Aragonese Renaissance style. Along its streets, stone lintels carved with medieval symbols and trade engravings are common. Photo: Randi Hausken from Bærum, Norway (CC BY-SA 2.0) What to see and do in Rubielos de Mora
