The festivities of El Castellar include the August festivities (22-23) and, on 12 October, the Fiesta de Danzantes y Embajadas de Moros y Cristianos (Festival of Dancers and Moorish and Christian Embassies), an old tradition revived in the 1979, 1990 and 2015 editions; on 13 October the Virgen de los Desamparados is also celebrated.
