Church of Galve Monument · Galve, Comunidad de Teruel, Teruel The church of la Asunción de Nuestra Señora is the parish temple of Galve (Teruel), famous for its dinosaur ichnite sites. It is a 17th-century Baroque building constructed between 1694 and 1719, which replaced an earlier temple located next to the local castle. It has a rectangular plan with three naves and four bays, a Baroque tower of Mudejar influence at the foot of the building, and an elliptical brick dome. It holds a Baroque high altarpiece from the 18th century in polychrome stucco, restored in 1989, another altarpiece from the 17th century on the epistle side, an organ also from the 18th century, and frescoes on the Eucharist. It was declared a Bien Catalogado (a heritage-listing category, one level below Bien de Interés Cultural) of the Aragonese Cultural Heritage in 2002.
