Holy Week of La Puebla de Híjar Activity · La Puebla de Híjar, Bajo Martín, Teruel Image of La Puebla de Híjar, not of the place itself. The Holy Week of La Puebla de Híjar (Teruel) is part of the Route of the Drum and the Bombo of Bajo Aragón, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2018 and bringing together nine municipalities in the Teruel area. It has a deep drumming tradition and has eleven of its own brotherhoods, among them those of Jesus Nazarene, Saint John and Christ Crucified. As a distinction of its own, the town awards the “Tambor de Honor”, a recognition given to political figures and people who have helped to promote Aragón or the drumming route itself. It is declared a Fiesta de Interés Turístico Nacional (Spain's national festival-of-tourist-interest designation). Photo: Regissierra (Public domain) What to see and do in La Puebla de Híjar
