Summer festivities of Castelnou, traditionally dedicated to Saint Roch, celebrated on the second weekend of August. The tradition had stopped being celebrated for some years until, in 1995, the La Valera Cultural Association revived it. Until a few years ago they were preceded by a cultural week, and since the association disbanded for lack of volunteers, it is the town council that takes charge of organising them.
