The town hall of Castelnou occupies one side of the plaza de la Villa, surrounded by a garden of mulberry trees and facing the trough through which flows the water that irrigates the village's market gardens; its coat of arms shows a medieval castle with the initials C and N beneath the Aragonese royal crown.
