Vió Valley Nature · Fanlo, Sobrarbe, Huesca Image of Fanlo, not of the place itself. The Vió valley, or Vallibió, running alongside the Añisclo canyon, is a valley of the Huesca Pyrenees located between the courses of the Ara and Cinca rivers, in the comarca of Sobrarbe. It is crossed by the Aso river, which flows into the Bellós at the mouth of the canyon itself, and is bordered to the north by the sierra de las Cutas, which separates it from the Ordesa valley. Fanlo is the valley's capital and the head of the municipality, together with other villages such as Buerba, Buisán, Gallisué, Nerín, Sercué, Vió and Yeba. Human presence is attested here for several thousand years, linked above all to herding, and transhumance is still practised today between the high mountain pastures and the flat lands of the middle Ebro valley.
