Lanaja celebrates its local festivities on 19 January and 20 September, according to the official calendar of the province of Huesca; the town is home to the Cartuja de Monegros (Charterhouse of Monegros), from the 17th century, declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection) in 2001.
