Tower of Baldellou Monument · Baldellou, La Litera, Huesca A great manor tower, also known as the tower of the Albano family or the Pubill tower, standing on a rocky edge of the hill on which the town of Baldellou sits, in the comarca of La Litera. It is a massive ashlar structure of rectangular plan, about fourteen by nine metres and almost thirty metres high, whose outer wall partly clads the rock at its base. On all sides open twin windows in Gothic style with Catalan influence, some damaged or walled up, and on the rear façade three corbels survive that once supported a latrine. Access is through a large emblazoned gateway into an old courtyard and from there, through a pointed doorway, into the interior, laid out over four floors with vaulted ceilings now badly deteriorated.
