In 1143 Ramón Berenguer IV handed Chalamera to the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, which kept it under its jurisdiction until the end of the eighteenth century. From that period comes the Romanesque hermitage raised at the confluence of the Cinca and the Alcanadre.
