Cúllar
Village
With the Argaric settlement of El Malagón (around 2500 BC) and the passage of Almanzor's troops in 985, it was leveled by an earthquake in 1522 and resettled by the Catholic Monarchs; in 1628 it bought its independence from Baza for 225,000 maravedís. It adopted its current name, simply 'Cúllar,' in 1986. In 2025 it has 3,978 inhabitants.

Activity
Held on the last weekend of April and declared of Tourist Interest of Andalusia; since 2011 it has had its own monographic museum on Plaza Gregorio Salvador.

Curiosity

El Bosque de los Libros
Curiosity
Cultural initiative at the Lagos de Quitasueños complex in Cúllar that recreates a small 'literary forest' with lanes named after universal classics, the setting for theatrical and ecological activities.
