Dólmenes del Tomillo Monument · Alcalá del Valle, Sierra de Cádiz, Cádiz The Dólmenes del Tomillo complex, in the municipality of Alcalá del Valle (Cádiz), is made up of three gallery dolmens with a headstone, located north of the Tomillo dehesa. These are Chalcolithic megalithic tombs, predating 2000 BC, from the beginnings of the Metal Age, which contained burials from that period. A menhir, a rock with a pointed end set upright, was also found nearby. The site was excavated in 1983 by the Provincial Museum of Cádiz.
