Semi-naturalised wetland of some 60 hectares set in the surroundings of the hamlet of Campotéjar, originating from old wastewater treatment ponds. It was declared a Ramsar Site of International Importance in 2011 for holding more than 10% of the western Mediterranean population of the white-headed duck, an endangered waterbird.
