The Mirador de El Olmico is one of the viewpoints set up around Cieza (Vega Alta del Segura) for watching the blossoming of the fruit trees in the vega del Segura, between the second half of February and the end of March, when the Cieza market gardens offer a landscape marked by their flowers. During those dates the comarca organises activities linked to the blossoming, such as hiking routes, descents on the río Segura, poetry recitals, concerts, photography contests, talks and exhibitions.
