Medina Siyâsa

Islamic city-state of the 11th century on the Cerro del Castillo, the political capital (madina siyasa) of the Cora de Tudmir, with some 750 houses and around 4,000 inhabitants at its height. It is one of the best preserved and best presented Islamic sites in Europe, with full-scale reconstructions of its original structures.
