Church of San José de Abanilla

Parish church of Abanilla, in the Murcian comarca of Oriental, on the border with the Comunidad Valenciana. Consecrated by Cardinal Belluga in 1712, it is distinguished by its blue hemispherical dome and by a carved wooden altarpiece. Already in the 19th century it is mentioned as the local parish church in the Diccionario geográfico, estadístico, histórico... de España by Pablo Riera y Sans.
