Abanilla enters the Crown of Castile

The pact signed at Alcaraz in 1243 between the representatives of the kingdom of Murcia and the infante Alfonso of Castile incorporated Abanilla into Castilian rule, opening for the town two centuries of tug-of-war between the neighboring crowns.
