Main church of Cehegín, set on the Plaza del Castillo, within a historic centre declared a Conjunto Histórico-Artístico (Spain's heritage designation in force between 1931 and 1985, applied here to an urban ensemble); itself declared a Monumento Histórico-Artístico Nacional, it is a sixteenth-century remodelling of a fifteenth-century temple.
