Held to be the masterpiece of the Murcian Renaissance and one of the outstanding temples of the holy city of Caravaca de la Cruz, this parish church was begun in 1526 and inaugurated in 1571 with the transfer of the Blessed Sacrament from the old church of la Soledad.
