Tiflological Aeronautical Museum (MAT) Monument · San Javier, Mar Menor, Murcia Image of San Javier, not of the place itself. The Tiflological Aeronautical Museum (MAT) is an open-air museum space on Paseo de Colón in Santiago de la Ribera, a coastal district of San Javier on the Mar Menor, opened on 24 July 2020 and adapted for people with visual or hearing impairments, who access the content through touch, braille and an app accessible via QR code. It displays five aircraft models linked to the General Air Academy, each next to a bench reproducing its colour: the Dornier J Wal seaplane, the Beechcraft T-34 Mentor in which Juan Carlos I and Felipe VI trained, the T-6 Texan, the Ha-200 Saeta and the CASA C-101 Mirlo, which gave rise in 1985 to the Patrulla Águila.
