Beaches of Bolnuevo Nature · Mazarrón, Bajo Guadalentín, Murcia Bolnuevo is a hamlet of Mazarrón, at the foot of the Sierra de las Moreras, with beaches such as La Isla, Bahía, Nares and El Castellar. Its main beach is 1,600 metres long and 80 metres wide on average, with golden sand and moderate waves. Beside it lie Las Gredas, known as the Ciudad Encantada, one of the symbols of the municipality: erosion formations with rock mushrooms several metres tall and walls of whimsical shapes. Every November a romería is held on the beach in honour of the Virgen del Milagro, which according to tradition protected Mazarrón from a Barbary attack in 1585, with the popular preparation of sardines.
