The patronal festivities of Mazarrón are held in honour of the Immaculate Conception in early December, around the 8th. Events are centred on the fairground, with the opening speech, the election of the children's, youth and senior queens, and cultural, social and sporting activities. The programme closes on the last Sunday with a float parade through the main streets, one of the moments most followed by locals.
