An archaeological site located in the present-day town centre of Librilla, with remains of Roman occupation dated between the 1st and 6th centuries, declared Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection). The settlement occupied a point controlling communications in the Guadalentín valley, which explains its continuity over several centuries.
