Shrine of el Carbayu

Monument · Langreo, Nalón, Asturias

Built in the 17th century over an earlier Romanesque church, on a height at Ciaño commanding the whole valley. Legend tells that the Virgin appeared over an oak at that spot; its pilgrimage festival on 8 September is a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest.
