Settlement charter of Langreo

Historical milestone · Langreo, Nalón, Asturias

Image of Langreo, not of the place itself.

The valley received its charter of settlement in 1338, although it is cited much earlier: in 857 Ordoño I donated several of its churches to the cathedral of Oviedo. In 1874 a Carlist band burned the town hall and with it the municipal archive.
