The stolen cross of San Salvador de Fuentes

The processional cross of the church of Fuentes, of silver on a wooden core with semi-precious stones and a Roman cameo, was stolen in 1898 and passed through European collecting until J. Pierpont Morgan donated it to the Metropolitan in New York in 1917.
