Palace of los Pardo Donlebún Monument · Castropol, Eo-Navia, Asturias A fortified 16th-century manor house in Figueras, formed by two symmetrical rectangular wings with battlements flanking the tower; the lintelled, grilled doorway bears two small turrets with the family's coats of arms. Set on a rise beside the town's harbour, its oldest core is the central tower, from the 16th century, from which the two battlemented wings extend; the west wing dates from a 19th-century renovation, and the whole precinct is enclosed by a stone wall built in 1931. It is declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection). A prominent member of the family, Sancho Pardo Donlebún, took part in the expedition of the Grande y Felicísima Armada. Photo: Raimundo Pastor (CC BY-SA 4.0) What to see and do in Castropol
